    Not a bad place to grab a quick bite for lunch.  Friendly and attentive service made it an enjoyable lunch.

    This was our first experience at this restaurant.  We decided to do takeout because our family was in town visiting.

    Here's what we ordered:

    Grilled chicken sandwich  x2- lacking any flavor. The menu said it is marinated in a Cuban citrus sauce. There was zero flavor in these pieces of chicken.  They were quite rubbery tasting and the lettuce was wilted and gross.

    Chicken Filet Sandwich- RAW in the center!

    Hamburger/Cheeseburger- ok, not bad and not great

    Fries were typical frozen fries. The "chili" was salty as all get out. Collards were very vinegary.

    Overall,  we were not happy and all of us felt the food was subpar.

    I did call to report the raw sandwich (at the time, we hadnt tasted the other chicken). Jackie gave us a credit for it.

    This place used to be a great BBQ place. We went there recently and the food was awful!!! Ribs were dry, hush puppies were as hard as rocks. Brisket was tasteless. We found out the owner has sold it to someone who has no clue to to smoke BBQ. Will not be going back.

    Clutch lunch spot before my meetings today while I was in the Charlotte area. Stumbled in based on a quick google search to meet a client. Lunch special was a great deal. Service was good. Brisket was fantastic. Sometimes brisket can be very dry or almost crumby. This was thick sliced and super moist.

    The sides were ok but nothing special which is typical for most BBQ places. If the meat is good, the sides lack or vice versa.

    This spot was perfect for a quick lunch today.

    521 BBQ & Grill is literally my favorite restaurant. As an implant from CT the BBQ isn't even in the same hemisphere for comparison. I always get the ribs since they never disappoint, in the numerous times I've been here the one time I could have had a poor experience was when my ribs were borderline cold but they were quick to just give me a fresh new batch when they could've easily just microwaved, I'd actually already eaten my sides while waiting for my waitress and they replaced those as well (5 star service in tact). Whenever friends and relatives visit this is my go to place to bring them and I've even enjoyed a mother's day and birthday meal here. Needless to say their food and service is one of Indian Land's best
